EMDR Trained | LGBTQ+ Affirming | Neurodivergent-Aligned | Trauma-Informed | Integrative & Relational

Hi, I’m Katelyn!

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor, and my work is grounded in relationship, safety, and curiosity. I take a trauma-informed and integrative approach, which means we move at a pace that feels attuned to you—your story, your needs, and what feels supportive in the moment.

I work with people navigating developmental and relational trauma, anxiety, depression, experiences of sexual abuse, and challenges in relationships or connection to self. My hope is to offer a space where you can bring your full self, feel understood and supported, and gradually reconnect with your emotions, body, and sense of identity.

A Bit About Me

Before becoming a therapist, I worked in advocacy, case management, and trauma-informed care across a range of settings—including residential treatment centers for youth, juvenile detention, and systems work with survivors of trafficking. These experiences shaped how I understand complexity and reinforced for me that real healing happens in spaces of trust, not pressure.

Because of this, my approach is deeply person-centered. I meet you where you are, and I won’t ask you to perform healing on a timeline or move faster than feels safe.

I bring my full human self into the work and value being present, grounded, and willing to sit with the messy and uncertain parts alongside you.

My Approach

My work draws from person-centered therapy, EMDR, parts work (IFS), Coherence Therapy, attachment-based and relational approaches, and somatic-informed practices grounded in neuroscience and nervous system regulation. Rather than forcing a method, I adapt what we use based on what feels most supportive and attuned to you.

I don’t view symptoms as something “wrong” that need to be fixed. Instead, I understand them as ways your nervous system learned to protect you. Together, we’ll slow things down, make sense of your experiences, and support a deeper, more compassionate connection with yourself, at a pace that feels manageable and safe.

Healing Doesn’t Look the Same for Everyone

There’s nothing wrong with you and you are not broken. Trauma, difficult relationships, and painful experiences can leave us feeling disconnected from ourselves and others. Therapy can be a way of finding your way back, at your own pace. My work is about helping you make sense of what you’ve been through, strengthen your internal resources, and gradually feel more grounded, connected, and able to navigate life on your terms.

Affirming Your Identity & Experience

I’m affirming and inclusive of neurodivergent experiences, LGBTQ+ identities, and the intersections of race, culture, and ability. My hope is that this is a space where you can bring your full self—who you are, where you’ve been—and feel seen and respected.

How We Work Together

Therapy with me is collaborative and relational. Healing isn’t linear, and our work moves at a pace that feels right for you, sometimes slowing down to notice and process, other times gently exploring patterns as they emerge. My focus is on supporting you in feeling safer with your emotions, rebuilding trust in yourself, and reconnecting with who you are.

Ready to Begin?

If you’re ready to explore, reflect, and reconnect with yourself in a space that respects your story and identity, I’d be honored to walk alongside you. You don’t have to do this alone.
